Purpose: The Share Baskets started as a youth group project. We decided we
would pick out 1 family in the Dalton Church and bless them with a basket of food
once a month. Each month we chose a different family. The kids would have a
devotion, and usually a song. We would do this on the 3rd Wed. evening of the
month. The kids would choose the family to bless. We would all bring can goods
and pray that we could fill a basket. That was several years ago.

Today, The Share Basket program is actually the food bank for our church. The
Lord has blessed this project beyond our belief! We have 2 rooms that are
designated for the food. One room has 2 refrigerators and 2 freezers. The other is
filled with very nice shelves. The Dalton Church funds this project. Every week in
the bulletin we have a designated "Item of The Month" so members can donate
that item or there is a place on the envelope so we can donate money toward this
project with our offerings. The Boy Scouts donate canned items throughout the
year. Bro. Forest Davis's Sunday School Class donates every week. Little
R.O.C.K. Children's Ministry also donates food throughout the year. There are
many individual members who donate. This project is totally funded by the Dalton
Church
